King Oyster Tomato Pizza recipe


King Oyster mushrooms 2 large
Butter 1/2 tbsp
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Minced green onion 2 tbsp
Minced garlic 1 tsp
Minced celery 1 tsp
Whole canned tomatoes 1/2 cup
Basil pinch
Salt pinch
Pepper pinch
Tomato 1/2
Mozzarella cheese 50g


1. Preheat oven to 400 ºF
2. Cut King Oyster mushrooms lengthwise into halves. Remove the middle and mince it to use later. Lightly coat the inside with butter.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Fry the green onions, garlic, minced mushroom and celery until light gold in colour.
3. Add whole canned tomatoes, basil and tomato paste. Let is simmer for about 15 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Next, chop the tomato into small cubes and add it to the sauce.
5. Spoon the sauce into the carved out, buttered mushrooms. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 7 to 8 minutes.
